Workplace First Aid
Can you help co-workers in an emergency ?
In the event of an accident or emergency in your office, would you know how to help your colleague while you wait for assistance or an ambulance? Does your workplace comply with the recommendations?
We offer two Level Three workplace first aid courses that meet QCA standards from which you receive an OFQual recognised certificate.
Level Three training- 1 day (EFAW) covers :
- Responsibilities and reporting
- Assessment of the situation
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Basic hygiene in First Aid
- Minor injuries
- Bleeding control
Emergency First Aid at Work courses are of a 6-hour duration, and is a Level 3 OfQual qualification. We take group bookings, and also run an open course for individual bookings once a month in our classroom in Stoke-sub-Hamdon. Check our dates page for the next ones.
Level Three training- 3 day (FAW) covers:
In addition to the content of EFAW training, First Aid at Work also includes the following:
- Heart attacks
- Eye injuries
- Fractures and spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
- Head injuries
- Sprains and strains
First Aid at Work courses are 3 days in duration. We take group bookings at any time, and usually run two open courses per year for individuals to book onto – the next of these is in March 2021.
What do you receive after the training ?
On completion of these courses you will receive either a Level Three Emergency First Aid at Work certificate or a Level Three First Aid at Work certificate, each valid for 3 years.
Assessment is ongoing throughout each of the courses.
