DESCRIPTION:This 12 hour course takes place over 2 days in our classroom. It fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.\nA range of subjects is covered including:-\n• Role of the Paediatric First Aider   • Seizure   • Diabetic emergencies\n• Primary survey   • Choking   • Asthma\n• Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED)   • Minor injuries   • Meningitis\n• Wounds, bleeding and shock  • Recovery position   • Febrile convulsions\n• Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis   • Fractures   • Extreme cold and heat\n• Head, neck and back injuries   • Foreign bodies\nOn successful completion of the course, you will receive an in-house certificate in Paediatric First Aid. On request, for a fee, we can submit to our awarding body for an OfQual Level 3 award in Paediatric First Aid. Please ask us when booking if you will need this.\n
