Paediatric First Aid: 25th & 26th November
This 12 hour course takes place over 2 days in our classroom. It fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
A range of subjects is covered including:-
• Role of the Paediatric First Aider • Seizure • Diabetic emergencies
• Primary survey • Choking • Asthma
• Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED) • Minor injuries • Meningitis
• Wounds, bleeding and shock • Recovery position • Febrile convulsions
• Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis • Fractures • Extreme cold and heat
• Head, neck and back injuries • Foreign bodies
On successful completion of the course, you will receive an in-house certificate in Paediatric First Aid. On request, for a fee, we can submit to our awarding body for an OfQual Level 3 award in Paediatric First Aid. Please ask us when booking if you will need this.
